12 new dengue cases have been reported

In the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning, twelve more people were hospitalized with dengue.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, eight of the new patients were admitted to Dhaka hospitals and the rest were admitted elsewhere (DGHS).

Twenty-four dengue patients are now being treated at hospitals across the country, including 18 in the capital.
This year, the DGHS has documented 874 dengue cases, 841 recoveries, and nine deaths.

After 179 deaths in 2019, the country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022, the highest number on record. Last year, it also recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries.
