According to Aminul Islam, GM (Operation) of the firm, police and fire department officials arrived on the scene following the event.

The plant employs about 3,500 employees, but on May Day, it was completely shuttered. A group of overseas buyers is expected to visit the plant tomorrow, though. He said that this was the reason why employees, staff members, and security officers were staying at the plant.

According to him, the explosion is thought to have been brought on at the time of the occurrence by too much pressure in the gas line.

Seven of the victims had burn wounds. According to the GM, all wounded people are no longer in danger, and all necessary measures have been made for their care at the plant.
