On Sunday night, criminals shot and killed a leader of the Jubo League in the Comilla Daudkandi upazila’s Gauripur West Bazar. Jamal Hossain, 38, a native of Ziarkandi village in Titas Upazila and the son of Fazlul Haque, was identified as the dead.
He served as the league’s joint convener. Locals claimed that Jamal was a Gauripur market merchant. They heard gunfire in the market on a Sunday evening. When they later discovered Jamal there, they quickly brought him to the hospital.

Locals at the time also spotted three males running away while wearing burqas. Jamal was shot in the forehead and chest, according to Daudkandi Police Station officer-in-charge Alamgir Hossain. Jamal’s family brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital even though he had been pronounced dead at the Upazila Health Complex.
