News Desk A worker died and six others suffered burn injuries as they came in contact with molten metal during an explosion at a re-rolling mill in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sangkar, 40. The injured were –Yeasin, 33, Ibrahim, 32, Ayan, 20, Jewel 35, Rabbi, 35, Alamgir, 30. All were the workers of RICL Re-rolling Mills in Saughat area of Golakandail union of the upazila.

Our correspondent quoting one of the rescuers Ashik Hasan said the melted iron spilled on the workers when the explosion took place in the furnace of the factory in the evening.
Inspector Bahchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said the injured workers were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital.
